Newly Elected Members for our Board of Education

These members were elected to serve on our Board of Education following the May 21, 2024 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election. New members will be sworn onto the board during the Reorganizational Meeting held on July 8, 2024.

Kevin Niedermaier

Kevin Niedermaier, a lifelong resident of the Town of Groveland, has been elected to serve an additional term on our board.

Kevin graduated from Geneseo Central School in 1976 and later from Corning Community College in 1995. He retired after a distinguished 25-year career as the Director of the Office of Emergency Management for Livingston County. As a third-generation owner/operator of his family farm, Kevin continues his commitment to the community.

Kevin is married to his wife, Elizabeth, and they have three children—Michael, Kelly, and Adam—all graduates of Geneseo Central School.

Lynn Muscarella

Lynn Muscarella

Lynn Muscarella, alongside her husband Joe, is a long-time resident of Geneseo, having grown up in Mt. Morris before spending the last decade in this community. Lynn has now been elected to serve her first term on the GCS Board of Education.

With a 30-year career in education, Lynn has served as a School Nurse, Counselor, Assistant Principal, and Middle/High School Principal for 15 years, retiring from Oakfield-Alabama School. As a Board Member, Lynn says she aims to leverage her extensive educational experience to make informed decisions that benefit students and prepare them for life after high school, while also being fiscally responsible to taxpayers.

Committed to "Putting Students First," she prioritizes hiring and retaining effective teachers, supporting faculty and staff, and ensuring transparent communication within the school community. Lynn is dedicated to working collaboratively with Board Members and the Superintendent to achieve the school's mission and continuous improvement.
