In a testament to our commitment to academic excellence, Geneseo's Middle and High Schools have once again secured prestigious spots on US News' Best High School Rankings.
The Geneseo Central School (GCS) clinched the #1 position in Livingston County and an impressive #5 out of the entire Rochester Area, which encompasses 73 school districts.
Statewide, the Middle and High Schools secured the 113th position in New York State.
The rankings, published annually by US News, serve as a benchmark for educational achievement across the nation. The publication scores institutions based on performance on state-required tests, graduation and college preparation. The Middle/High School scored 88% on mathematics proficiency, 84% reading proficiency and 87% science proficiency. About 65% of students also took at least one Advanced Placement (AP) exam.
U.S. News lists that Geneseo graduates 94% of its seniors, which is above the state median, and gave the school an overall score of 93%.
