Geneseo Central High School students represented the district in a leadership presentation at SUNY Geneseo.
On Oct. 27, 13 students participated in the Next Generation Leadership Summit in the Union Ballroom at the college. The students delivered presentations with other schools in the area.
“The summit focused on the importance of leadership and what skills are needed to become a successful leader,” GCS middle and high school teacher Mark Mattice said. “The summit is meant to be the catalyst for young leaders to grow as individuals and build upon their foundations to strengthen, support and inspire those they interact with. We are more than proud of our students being leaders and representing our district and community.”
The students that participated in the event were Sam Chandler, Emily Lamb, Rachael Matthews, Caroline Capel, Natalie Capel, Oliver Ivers, Edward LaFleur, Katie Pearson, Harper Antonucci, Phillip Dotterweich, Emma Shearer, Karli Hy and Noah Rose.
We are so proud of our students and their leadership skills! All of the participants will attend a second session in March of 2024.
