🎵 Exploring Careers in Music! 🎵
Our middle and high school students recently had the opportunity to hear from Graham Wolfe (recording engineer and producer) and Dresden Engle (singer and publicist) from ROC Star Academy!
They shared their experiences in the music industry and showcased the many exciting careers made possible through a love of music — from performing and producing to promotion and beyond!
We had about 30 high school students and 5 middle school students attend during their respective lunch periods, and the energy and curiosity in the room were incredible!
A huge thank you to ROC Star Academy for inspiring our students to explore their creative passions!

Officer Hopper recently stopped by Ms. Garratt’s fourth grade class to read a story about bullying. The students had great conversations and took part in a fun activity to go along with the story. What an awesome way to learn about kindness and respect! 💙

Our second graders are hard at work sorting words! They’re learning spelling patterns for the long “o” sound by sorting words and recording their sorts in their writing notebooks. Keep up the great work, second grade! 👏💙

🍁 Our 1st & 5th period photo students have been exploring the magic of color and contrast!
For this project, they captured fall-themed photos, converted them to black and white, and then used layer masks to reveal pops of the original color underneath.
The results show off both their technical skills and creative eye- amazing work, photographers! 📸✨

🌟 One Word Project
Our 4th graders took part in the One Word Project, inspired by the book “One Word” by Jon Gordon, Dan Britton, and Jimmy Page. Each student chose one powerful word to guide them through the year — words like Kind, Creative, Grateful, Win, and Wild. This project encourages students to focus on positivity, purpose, and personal growth all year long!

Students in Señora Parish’s 8th grade Spanish classes have been learning all about weather and climate!
Each student researched a Spanish-speaking city of their choice, gathering information on average temperatures, climate patterns, and a weekly forecast. They then created colorful posters showcasing their findings, which are now proudly displayed around the classroom and in the hallway.
As part of a gallery walk, students explored the work of their classmates, learning about six different cities beyond their own.
Many were surprised to discover that not all Spanish-speaking countries have four seasons — some experience only wet and dry seasons! Others were intrigued to learn that countries in South America are heading into summer just as we move toward winter here in North America. ☀️❄️

✨📸 Mr. Antonucci’s high school photography students recently took their creativity outside! Exploring the Geneseo campus, they experimented with reflection photography—finding unique ways to capture mirrors, windows, and water to show the world from a new perspective. 🌎✨
These moments remind us that sometimes the best art is hidden in everyday surroundings—if you just take the time to look closely. 👀💡
