Yesterday, our amazing 6th and 7th graders went head to head in an epic kickball tournament! The energy was electric, the teamwork was inspiring, and the competition was fierce! Way to go, everyone!

🌞What better way to beat the heat than with some fun water games at Field Day! We all had an absolute blast soaking up the sun and splashing around with friends!

🎉 Today was the last day of classes for our students in grades 8-12, and we celebrated with some fun Wellness Day activities! Our high schoolers enjoyed yard games, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, karaoke, bounce houses, and some delicious concessions! The day ended with our second annual Powder Puff Flag Football Game where the seniors took home the trophy! Tomorrow, the NYS Regents Exams begin, so we want to wish the best of luck to our high schoolers as they prepare for these important tests. You've got this! Happy Summer!

🎉🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ We are incredibly proud to announce that EIGHT of our student-athletes have qualified for the NYSPHSAA Track & Field State Championship! 🏅🎽 Catch them in action this Friday, June 7th, and Saturday, June 8th at Cicero-North Syracuse HS. Please join us in congratulating: Simon Aguilar, Caleb Rice, Caroline Capel, Natalie Capel, Emily Lamb, Rachel Matthews, Catherine Staley, and Sierra Whitney! A huge shoutout also goes out to our dedicated coaches: Chris Morens, Danielle Rice, Devin Mix, and Alec Rice! Your hard work and commitment have truly paid off. 🙌👏

Congratulations to Axel Ortiz Palacios for being selected as Junior Officer of the Month for June! Officer Hopper had this to say about why Axel was selected: "Axel is a student whom his friends can look up to. He consistently demonstrates acts of kindness, making him a great friend and role model. Axel comes into school everyday with a bright smile and a good attitude. Keep up the good work, Axel!"

🎶 A huge congratulations to all of our students who were recognized at tonight's Music Department Award Ceremony! 🎶 We especially want to give a major shout out to our seniors - we can't wait to see where music takes you in the future! 🌟 We also want to congratulate our dedicated Music Department for encouraging our students to continue with their musical passions and helping them perfect their musical abilities. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated!

A massive thank you to everyone who showed up and participated in our budget vote yesterday! With over 800 individuals taking part, this was our most engaged turnout in recent years! Your involvement makes a real difference in shaping our community's future.

The 2024-2025 Proposed Budget has been APPROVED with a final vote of 564 Yes votes! This budget lets GCS continue providing rigorous academic offerings, robust fine arts opportunities, a large range of extracurricular activities, and athletic opportunities for all Geneseo Central School students! As the 2023-2024 School Year begins to wrap up, we are excited to start planning for the 2024-2025 academic year! Thank you to all who supported and participated in the budget vote process!

A big congratulations to social studies teacher Tara Devay for being chosen as one of fifteen teachers nationwide for the 2024 GenEd Fellowship Program. As part of the program, Ms. Devay will be travelling to Armenia this summer with other educators, attending workshops and museums to learn more about the Armenian genocide and its continuing effects today. 🐾 Happy Friday! 🐾 Our newest therapy dog, Hank, is settling in quite nicely and has already made such a PAW-sitive impact on campus. The students love having him around, and his cheerful presence makes every day that much brighter! Here's to more tail-wagging fun!
